Sorry about the hair curlers but today is wet set day and my stubborn hair has to set allllll day long to hold any amount of curl. Anyhoo, I found five good 50s vintage dresses and a purse! The orange and white one has rhinestones and matching plastic button all down the back. The red dress has great bust pleat detail but needs the hem done up and a good pressing. The green dress and the leopard purse are keepers but all the other dresses are going up for sale in my Etsy shop.
The silk pink and green floral dress has the most faboo bust detail and sequins but sadly has some shattering along the bust and sleeve edges. I am going to repair it but I need to figure out the best way to go about it. I'll probably edge it in a matching pink satin bias.
I also brought home this set of 40s Asian figurines. This is one of my best thrift finds in ages. I only paid $25 bucks for the set. Score! They match my 50s cream and gold speckled lamps perfectly. It was meant to be. <3

I've been wanting to go to that flea market....I've been to the long beach one but not the Melrose one. is there vintage clothing expensive or is it decently priced??
I cant tell your wearing curlers , you look so cute.. Love your green dress and bag.
That lamp so pretty, i never seen one like it.
I miss flea markets.
Are you kidding!?! Even your pincurls look elegant, and I <3 the leopard print purse!
Great finds I really love those asian figurines.
I can't believe you only paid $25 for those fabulous asian figurines!!
Wow!
The dress looks beautiful!
Hep-Kitten: It's hit or miss. About 80% of everything there is 70s/80s but I always manage to find something good! There is one seller that has amazing 40s/50s vintage clothing but they want $40-$60 a pop. There are a few other sellers there that have loads of $10-$20 dresses but you have to really dig to find anything pre 60s. I lucked out this time and found five for a good price so it is worth it to go and take your time rummaging around. ;)
oh my that purse is amazing!
