More stylish blogging love! Thanks so much to Tuppence Ha'Penny for nominating me.
The rules are I have to share seven random facts about myself and pass this on to seven others. Since I'm a rebel I'm going to break the rules and skip passing this on. I've already received one of these a while back so my random facts really will be random, heh.
................................................................
1. My natural hair color is dark brown but at 38 I am almost totally silver now. Premature graying runs my Moms side of the family and both my youngest brother and I started to go gray when we were about 14 years old. Since I started dying my hair at 12 my gray hair has always been hidden but my 23 year old brother likes his salt and pepper hair and keeps it undyed.
2. Here is a picture of me at age 5 back in 1977 rocking out to a Mickey Mouse club record in my PJs. I remember I was obsessed with that baton and determined to learn how to twirl like a real majorette. Notice the faux leopard print jacket draped on the bed? I guess I was stylish even as a kid!
3. Amsterdam is my favorite city. My husband and I try to visit at least every other year but we have not been since 2008. One day we hope to buy a small flat there that we can have as a home away from home.
4. Reverend Horton Heat is my favorite band of all time. Growing up in Texas I was lucky to have them as a local band. Texas had such a wonderful music scene back in the 80s! We used to go see live bands play once a week, sometimes two or three.
5. My bedroom is decorated with a Nightmare Before Christmas theme. It doesn't match the rest of my 50s vintage style house but I don't care. I *love* NMBC and adore my bedroom even if it is cheesy.
6. I am a pescetarian. I was a vegetarian most my teen - adult life until a few years ago when I started to eat fish again. I love sushi too much to cut it out of my diet.
7. Moon Mullican was married to my great aunt Bubba (on my Moms side), so he was my great uncle. He died before I was born so I never had the chance to meet him. My favorite songs of his are 'Seven nights to rock', 'Shoot the Moon' and 'Cherokee Boogie'.

First, I want to say we share a kindred love for the Rev. Saw them last weekend @ Gruene Hall and it was amazing! Secondly, I love all your swing dresses. I am a beginning sewist and endeavor to be as good at you! I have dreams about your dresses. Not kidding.
I know Rev. Horton Heat pretty well. I remember being one of his groupies back in the middle 1980's and driving from Fort Worth Texas over to Deep Ellum and seeing them play at various venues , Bar of Soap, Trees, Club ClearView , just to name afew. Did you ever go into that little shop Rancho Loco in the Deep Ellum area, the one where Ralph worked at ?? Those were some cool times. Remember when Jim Heath first started playing and wore that big sombrero, that group has really come aaalonggg way. I started seeing him when he had that first drummer Jack??
