This past weekend we spent more time working on the greenhouse. Almost done thank goodness! I built two of the cedar planters myself which was something I never imagined I would ever do. Make my own clothes? Sure! Build things out of wood? No way! But it was easy-peasy since the pieces were all pre cut and drilled with instructions. Now we just need a milliondy bags of good soil to fill up all the planters and we are good to go.
I managed to work on and finish the yellow Simplicity 1610 gathered bust dress on Sunday. The dress is done but I still have some finishing touches to add to it so you only get this one teaser pic. I strayed from my original plan to hand paint it and gave it a black chantilly lace overlay instead. I am thrilled with it and my husband says it's the best dress I've made yet! (It's always nice to hear that from your man, eh?) I ordered some yellow rhinestones to add to it and they have not yet arrived in the mail. So as soon as I get them on, I'll post lots of pictures.
To keep this post a little more interesting here is a list of stuff I really, REALLY covet at the moment. Too bad I have no money to shop. :(
2. More vintage Federal Glass in this black diamond design. I started collecting it and I can't get enough of it.
3. A starburst wall clock. I never had interest in these until a few weeks ago when I suddenly decided my kitchen needs one. I just hope I can find a vintage one in chrome instead of the usual brass you find them in.
4. Irregular Choice 'Oriento Sun So' wedgies. The carved pagoda heel kills me. These are amazing! OMG. I want these so bad.

OMG those shoes, I even clicked the link but they are soooo far outside by budget!
Straight Talking Mama- I know, me too. I'd have to sell a ton of stuff to make that kind of splurge. But holy cow, I love those shoes!
GET THEM!!!! I've been dying for a pair of Irregular choice shoes myself.
