Haircut!

 I've been flirting with the idea of going with a shorter 'do for a while now but I just didn't have the guts to go through with it. Last time I cut my long locks off was 2003 when I went from hair to my waist to a short Louise Brooks style angled bob. I ended up hating how that haircut looked on me and after taking over two years to grow out I vowed I would never go short again. But here I am again nine years later with the same urge to chop it off.

I did it myself. I always cut my own hair because I am just too much of a control freak to trust someone else to cut it just right. It is probably uneven and could use a little more layering in the back but I am happy with it. My last cut my have been a disaster but this time I went for it with a better grasp of what style is more flattering on my face. I know my hair looks better with very little layering and styled away from my face. I also know I need enough length to put rollers in it without it kinking up to short once curled. I wanted something that would work well with a 30s, 40s or 50s look. It's a simple 'U' shaped bob- timeless and classic, it's pretty much the same cut as I had already just shorter.

The only thing I don't like about it is that it looks like poop unstyled. I can no longer be lazy and go without setting my hair! At least now that it's shorter it only took 2 hours in sponge rollers to get the right amount of curl.
