Leopard Tuesday

Today I was in a leopard print kind of mood.

I've had a passion for it since I was 16. I'll never forget the first time I fell in love with leopard print. It was a vintage 1960s faux fur cape with a big tacky gold clasp. Oh how I loved that thing. Sadly it's been MIA since 1989. I wonder where in the world it is now?

As much as I love it I am very picky about the leopard print I wear. It has to be that tell tale 1940s/1950s/1960s style leopard print. You know what I am talking about. GOOD leopard, none of that 80s leopard crap. Just like the leopard print on that first vintage cape I had all those years back.

I wore:

1950's style cotton twill leopard print circle dress - self made
vintage 1950's cashmere cardigan with self added kitty applique - Golyester vintage
vintage 1950's black petticoat - Melrose flea market
vintage 1950's leopard print purse - Melrose flea market
Tiki necklace - El Dorado club brand from Pin up Girl clothing
Carved bamboo bracelets - I used to sell them on my website
leopard hair flower - Angelemma.com
vintage reading glasses - I can't remember
platform wedge shoes- Rinaldi

A fellow leopard-a-holic!
One of my first blog posts was about my life-long love of leopard that started with a costume that my mom made me when I was 5 or so...
You should check it out!
